DESCRIPTION

Hero's Journey is an RPG prototype created in unreal engine 5.0 using the Blueprints system, mainly developed because I wanted to challenge myself in a low time period (2 months).​

RESPONSIBILITIES

Despite being new to Unreal Engine, I pushed myself to learn node-based
programming. The result? A functional RPG prototype that showcases my
adaptability, tech skills, and ability to meet deadlines. The prototype contains essential systems for an RPG such as:

  • Collectables system: Designed a system to allow players to gather and
    interact with various in-game collectables.

  • Inventory system: Created an inventory management system for
    players to store, equip, and manage their items.

  • Shop System: Developed a shop interface where players can purchase
    and sell items.

  • Spell Cast system: Implemented a system that enables players to cast
    spells and unleash magical abilities.

  • Crafting system: Designed a crafting system that allows players to
    combine resources and create new items.

  • Navigation system: Implemented a waypoint system to enable players
    to travel efficiently between different locations.

  • Save-Load systems: Created a save and load system to allow players
    to save their progress and resume gameplay.

  • Quest-Quest Tracker systems: Developed a quest system with an
    intuitive tracker to guide players through their objectives.
